Moon is the story of Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell), who’s nearing the end of is three-year contract with Lunar Industries as a Hydrogen-3 miner. The job requires him to live alone on a moon base for the duration of the contract. Because the satellite link that allows live communication with Earth is broken, the only being he can interact with in real time is GERTY, his emoticon-faced robotic personal assistant (voiced by Kevin Spacey). Needless to say, the lack of human companionship is beginning to take its toll on Sam after almost 3 years and he’s started seeing things.
